People who deny that repentance and the Lordship of Christ are necessary for the Gospel are involved in “Theological Snowballing”. They begin looking at certain aspects of philosophy/theology and it grows larger and larger until their theology is bigger than and miles away from the practical clear aspects of the Gospel itself.
Rugged Path
False teachers can be recognized by those who do not teach the completeness of God. Those who focus only on God’s love leave out His Sovereignty and Justice. Those who focus on His wrath and Justice leave out His Grace and Love. They are usually the ones who tell you that God loves you and wants you to have your best life now, or in contrast they tell you that your relationship with God is based on the rules you allow to govern your life. A true teacher will expound on the completeness of God and that your relationship with Him is dependent upon your submission to Him and your trusting Him (by His Grace). Jesus is Lord not just Savior. God is Sovereign not merely hoping for good.

The true test of becoming a Christian

Two of the polar opposites in Christianity today are the Evangelical Church and the Catholic Church. Yet, they are the same. They have different ideas of works for salvation. They proselytize the masses, yet offer no true hope. While Catholicism offers the entrance into God’s Kingdom by preaching that one must do good works to gain salvation. The Evangelical preaches that one must merely believe in Jesus. One is physical works the other is mental works. So they are essentially the same. They simply differ on which part of the being will do the works. The True Christian preaches to repent and place their faith in Jesus Christ. So we abhor ourselves submitting to God and trust and follow Jesus. These are a change of the heart…the truth that Christ spoke about.  We do not change our way of thinking but we give all to God to change everything about us.
